Ana Fernandez-Iglesias, PhD. Chemical Engineer (University of Oviedo, Spain and Otto-von-Guericke Universität, Germany) specialized in environment. She has developed her career in the industrial R&D and innovation field, always focused on sustainability and circular economy. She currently leads an applied research group within ArcelorMittal (biggest steel producer and iron ore miner worldwide) focused on technologies for waste management, monitoring and recycling, being also responsible for all R&D projects focused on sustainability in ArcelorMittal mines. She combines these positions with Academia activities as associate professor in different Degrees and Master programs. In 2020 she was appointed Circular Economy Pioneer by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
