Dr. Jovana V. Milić is Group Leader at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She obtained her PhD in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences of ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on the development of bioinspired nanomaterials for sustainable energy conversion, with a particular interest in photovoltaics. She has been recognized by a number of awards for her research and outreach, such as the CAS Future Leader 2019 and Green Talent 2020. In addition to interdisciplinary research and collaborations, she has been invested in science outreach as Networks Team Leader at the European Young Chemists’ Network (EYCN) of the European Chemical Society (EuChemS) and Governance Team Member at the International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN), dedicated to connecting, supporting, and empowering young scientists globally.
