Olivier was appointed Secretary General of ECETOC in September 2017.

Before ECETOC, Olivier was Managing Director at Burson-Marsteller, a leading communications and public affairs agencies globally (now Burson Cohn & Wolfe). He was Leader of the Environment and Energy Practice and member of the Brussels Leadership Team. His work at Burson-Marsteller was primarily devoted on advising clients on EU environmental and chemicals policies, in particular REACH. Olivier has also led the implementation of Burson-Marsteller’s work on agrochemical issues (pesticides, biocides and fertilisers), focusing on national and regional farmer group mobilisation.

He has a Master’s Degree in International and EU Law from La Sorbonne (Paris). As a Portuguese and French national, he speaks fluent English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Italian.
