Valérie Hayer is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament since 2019, sitting in the progressive and pro-European political group Renew Europe. In the European Parliament, Ms. Hayer is political coordinator for Renew Europe in the Committee on Budgets. She was a member of the Parliament’s negotiating team on the long-term European budget (Multiannual Financial Framework) and served as co-rapporteure on the decision to create new budgetary own resources for the European Union. Ms. Hayer is also a substitute member in the Industry Committee in which she negotiates on the Digital Services Act, the legislation regulating big tech companies’ content moderation policy.
